aimee and justin-the wedding!

Okay, the wait is over! I'm finishing up the final edit of Aimee and Justin's wedding. Married in South Louisiana and the church I grew up in, these two were awesome. Congratulations to them and their marriage. Best wishes Cuz'!

aimee II

Another shot of Aimee...shot with film, window light and 50, 1.8 lens. Sometimes that's really all you need.

aimee

So, I can't show much of the amazing shoot Aimee and I had at the new governor's mansion in Louisiana. It'd give too much of the dress away and ruin Justin's surprise. So, I can only show this teaser of a shot right now, but the rest will be revealed after the wedding!

jennifer and zach

A wedding I shot a while back...but just love the shots. They were posted on my original blog, but never here, so for all you newbies, enjoy!

bailey and barry

Bailey and Barry are married now. I photographed them long before I had this blog. They were great people, and one of my favorite engagement sessions. Paper pushers (of some kind or another) by day, musicians by night, we took these two photos in and around a parking garage. I just hope they're still making music out there somewhere.

virginia and john

I got the privilege to photograph my little cousin, Virginia's wedding a couple of Sundays ago. It was beautiful, held at the Rose Chapel in Fort Worth. We really had a great time. There's so many great images I wish I could post them all!

dear mari

I'm working on a new print portfolio for clients and brides, as well as some promotional material. So, I'm digging around some older bridals and weddings I've shot in years past. As a result I'm uncovering some really great stuff that might have been forgotten, or at least tucked away before the world knew of blogs, tweets, facebooks, and iphones.

Mari took me to San Antonio for a two day bridal shoot that resulted in some really amazing photographs as well as the best Mexican food I've ever put in my mouth. I've posted just two of my favorites here because, frankly, the other negatives aren't done getting scanned and archived yet. I hope you enjoy them.

aimee and justin-engagements!

My cousin Justin's getting hitched and I'm the lucky photographer. A little back story: Until we met up to photograph his engagements with his lovely fiancee Aimee, I hadn't seen Justin in quite a few years. I mean, let's put it this way, he hadn't reached puberty quite yet. So, when we met in the little town of Livingston, Louisiana for some photos I didn't know what to expect.

I pulled up to a black little car with tinted windows at our agreed meeting spot and the window rolled down. Behind that window sat this muscle bound fighter with a black tank undershirt, a cross tattoo, and a shaved head, that looked over at me and said, "Wasup, Cuz?"

From then on out, it was all good. Justin and Aimee were a great couple to photograph: fun, relaxed, easy going, and natural in front of the camera. Congratulations to them!
